We are looking for a motivated individual with experience working in social care, safeguarding, vulnerable adults, mental health or similar.
We run from 10am to 3pm each Wednesday during term time (12 sessions per term) at Tortworth Forest Centre, GL12 8HH. This includes one hour set up time and 30 minutes to discuss the session and help with monitoring and evaluation, plus some time to plan sessions. This should be around 7 hours per week. You will also be paid one additional day per term for planning and evaluation.
The right candidate will have experience of safeguarding policies and best practice, as well as working with either women’s groups or in the field of recovery. You will also have an interest in wellbeing in an outdoor setting, but we do not need you to have experience in this already. Please take a look at the website to find out more about our sessions and what to expect.
We are more interested in what you can bring to the project than your formal qualifications, though we do run our sessions along Forest School principles and we are participant-led. You must be able to demonstrate experience working with individuals with complex needs.
Freelance rate will be £95 per day, with an annual supervision and personal development budget allocated to your role.
We anticipate the role will begin in February 2021. Please send your cover letter and CV to firstname.lastname@example.org by 22 January 2021.
The role will initially be for one term with an option to extend with the agreement of the project leader. You must have a current DBS check or we can run one for you but it must be confirmed before you can begin.
The post is paid for by The National Lottery Community Fund.
